*Please note that the package price is based on 24 hour rental days starting at the time of rental. If your flight arrives early on day 1 and departs late on departure day, an extra rental day is available. You can also choose to return the car in Reykjavik when the car rental ends and use Flybus Plus or private departure transfer.

Day 1: Arrival

Arrive at Keflavik Airport. Pick up the car at the Airport.
Drive to the hotel in the Golden circle area. Explore the capital on your way there or stop to have lunch before continuing to your hotel in the Golden circle area.

Day 2: The Golden Circle

The Golden Circle is a fascinating experience. Visit Thingvellir National Park; the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. You can explore the world-famous Geysir area, where hot springs are in abundance, geysers erupt and pools of mud bubble.).

You can also stop by the magnificent Gullfoss waterfalls. You may want to take an optional snowmobile ride from the Langjokull Glacier, or go river rafting or take a river jet ride along the Hvítá River.).

Day 3: The South Coast Glaciers and Volcanoes

Drive through a landscape formed by glaciers and the many eruptions from Mt. Hekla, an active volcano, which you will drive past. You will also pass the Eyjafjallajokull Glacier, the Volcano that erupted in 2010 and grounded most flights over Europe for a week. There are many hiking opportunities in the area, as well as glacier walks and snowmobile rides.

Drive along the south coast and walk behind the waterfall Seljalandsfoss. The folk museum at Skogar and the nearby waterfall Skogarfoss make a fascinating rest stop. Visit the puffins at Cape Dyrholaey and stroll along the endless beach of black sand in Reynishverfi.

Day 4: The Glacier Lagoon Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón

As the days are long and hopefully the sun will be out until late evening, enjoy driving to Skaftafell National Park and the Glacier Lagoon in the South East.

The Glacier Lagoon is a very special phenomena, a lagoon formed by icebergs that fall off Europes largest glacier and drift into the ocean. often seals can be seen playing along the coastline or swimming in the lagoon.

You can also do an optional guided glacier walk in the National Park.

Day 5: To Reykjavik

Drive back towards Reykjavik.

REYKJAVÍK is the northern most capital city in the world. Lined with colorful, corrugated steel buildings, the streets in the downtown area are very pedestrian-friendly and full of fascinating museums, quaint shops, and cozy cafes and restaurants.

Day 6: Departure

Breakfast at your hotel. Enjoy your drive to the airport. We advise departing your hotel no later than three hours before your international flight and to return car at Keflavik International airport.

The package is for 6 days and 5ights. If you want to stay longer we can arrange additional nights accommodation at little extra cost. Please contact us and we will do our best to adapt this basic package so you get the holiday you want.

Daily Departures.

Quality value packages: An accommodation in 3 or 4 star like hotels or special guesthouses. The Beds can be two twin beds or one Queen or King. En-suite full bathrooms normally contain hairdryers, toiletries and towels. Bathrooms are fully equipped, either with a shower or a bathtub. WiFi internet is available in all hotels free of charge. Quality accommodation offers restaurant on site. Possibility to upgrade to superior or deluxe rooms, when available.

Superior value packages: These are 4 star hotels (or upgrade to superior rooms or suits in 3 star hotels where 4 star is not available. Our choice of superior hotels around the country include, small boutique hotels and hotels with special atmosphere. All superior hotels have good restaurants and bars. Many offer their own spa facilities. Our superior hotels in the countryside are small and include elevators, bar service and restaurants or a nearby restaurant.
